Skull & Raven Premium E-Liquid Review

Hello My Friends :D
I have recently had the pleasure of doing a review on not 1.. not 2... but THREE of Skull and Raven's Premium Signature Blend E-Liquid flavors! Chad was generous enough to send me 3 free samples and I have to be honest here.. When I first got them and stuck my nose inside for a sniff, I was a bit surprised to find that I was dismayed and was left wondering whether or not I'd like these e-juices at all.

Annabel Lee was the first Skull and Raven E-Juice I tried.. I am more a fruit and menthol type of vaper.. here is the description of Annabel Lee from the mouth of the Owner: "Annabel Lee the love of Poes life was a true southern belle. This flavor is a nod to the life and times of Charleston southern belles. We started with a sweet and decadent peaches and cream and added just a dash of champagne for all those aristocratic women of days gone by. this brings together sweet creamy and tangy like never before.":   So with Annabel Lee being the more fruity flavor of the bunch I naturally gravitated towards it to start.
As soon as the flavors hit my tongue on exhale I was astonished at how much the smell was different than the taste! I fell in love with Annabel Lee instantly. And with noticing such a drastic difference I was dead set on trying the other 2 Skull and Raven Signature Blend E-Liquids, as well!

Again, I am much more a fruit and menthol vaper and when I read the description of "The Raven" (the raven truly dark and mysterious was the perfect name for this flavor. Combining 2 different kinds of chocolate with a nice raspberry zing gives you sweet and sinister all in one satisfying flavor!!!) I was very skeptical that I'd like it again and then giving it another whiff I felt even more justified in my decision. But I gritted my teeth and squeezed the dropper and watched the e-juice flow into my Kayfun style tank. I took a toot and again was amazed! In my opinion the owners of Skull and Raven are brilliant! I loved it, as well. The chocolate tasted creamy and there was the slightest note of raspberry.
I believe I am starting to form a pattern here for all of you! lol I loved them all and "Nevermore" was the same for me as "Annabel Lee" and "The Raven". Here is the description of "Nevermore" from website: "his decadent flavor combines blackberries and cream with a touch of vanilla to create a truly unique vaping
experience perfect for those weak and weary ponderings on dark and dreary nights!!!" And yes, you can taste a note of all of the flavors mentioned above.

Now, out of all of them my favorite, of course, was "Annabel Lee" but I can't say that I wouldn't purchase either "Nevermore" or "The Raven". I was pleasantly surprised that they all captured my heart and my... taste buds? :D
For those of you who have never heard of the Skull and Raven, they are a new, up and coming online retailer of Premium E-Liquids. They just opened their "doors" in August of this year! So I believe a "congrats" and a wish of "goodluck" should be given to them in the rest of their business ventures. I hope to continue to watch them grow and produce even more amazing signature blends :D But I digress... The owners of Skull and Raven are Chad and Sunshine Seay. I have only had the pleasure of conversing with Chad so far, but he has been amazing and very friendly throughout this process of my reviews for Skull and Raven.

Chad said that the inspiration he drew from Edgar Allen Poe’s work for the name of his business and the e-juice names was based on “his enthrallment of Edgar Allen Poe’s writing and the macabre aspects of it and the way he paints a picture for the reader.” He said  he has always been a big “reader” by nature so it seemed an obvious theme for his company.
Chad informed me that they use only the best ingredients and the smoothest nicotine to provide his customers with the best vaping experience he could offer. His E-Juice comes package in glass glass dripper style bottles only to preserve the flavor as best as possible.
They are in the process of creating t-shirts to sell on their website as we speak, so don’t forget to keep checking back!

If you are interested in trying their Premium E-Juice (which I say is MUST TRY for everybody) then you can find them HERE
So, thank you so much Chad and Sunshine for trusting me in and for allowing me to be the first.. I believe I'm the first ! lol... to do a review on your e-juice. It has been a humbling experience working with you and I absolutely love your Premium Signature Blends!Good Luck to you in all your endeavors!
Please do give them a visit and a test for yourself! It made a believer out of me!
Thanks All and Stay #VapeStrong!

What Type of Vaper Are You?

by: Emily Lowe

types of vapers which one are you

Us vapers have an interesting subculture. We come from many different backgrounds, but we all share one thing – our love of vaping.

However, there are many different types of vapers with diverse interests. For a bit of fun, we’ve segmented these vapers into different categories, but of course you can be a combination of more than one!

1. The Fledgling

Fledgling Ecigarette Beginner Type

We’ve all been here at some point. The fledgling is a beginner vaper taking their first tantalizing steps into the world of vaping. They’re overly excited about their basic entry-level ecig and are keep to show off their devices to anyone who will listen.
They often won’t know the difference between a CE5 or a BDC clearomiser and ask numerous questions on vaping such as “how long does the juice last?” but we’re always happy to answer these these vapers questions and give them words of encouragement.

They frequently get their vaping terminology confused, but this is not surprising given the secret language of vaping. As their experience with vaping increases, they usually ‘level up’ and move to one of the following categories. If you fall into this category, make sure you check out our ecigarette academy to quickly get up to speed on the basics!

2. The Casual Vaper

These vapers know a fair bit about ecigarettes and their hardware choice is function over form. These people vape for the pleasure and like to keep their device plain and simple. In fact, most people won’t even know they vape until they see it for themselves.
Their ideal device is one they can grab and go, such as the convenience of an eGo battery with a pre-filled clearomiser which they can carry around easily and not have to fiddle with.

3. The Tinkerer

tinkerer vaper mod user

These people have a huge passion for vaping and will not settle for a basic device. They’re a big fan of mods due to their customisation abilities and have turned their love of vaping into a hobby by personalizing their device and sometimes even making them into an impressive work of art.
The tinkerer will always have a tool kit at hand containing everything from organic cotton balls to pliers and are forever ‘tinkering’ with their setup in order to get the best vape possible.
They may have flunked science at school, but their new-found knowledge means they could now teach Ohm’s law better than Mr Ohm himself.

4. The Mentor

These are experienced vapers who are always keen to share their new found knowledge on ecigarettes. They do a ton of research before making a new purchase, are curious of new vaping technology and are always on top of new trends.
They love to have a nose at your ecig setup and will offer you advice on what to upgrade to and how to improve your vaping experience. They may even do their own reviews of ecig hardware and eliquid. It’s great to have a mentor around when a fledgling is present as the mentor will take them under their wing and become their personal tutor.

5. The Fashionistas

Fashionista vaper type
Fashionistas are more concerned with how their ecigarette looks as opposed to how it performs. Does it match their outfit? Does it clash with their nail-polish? These are all serious questions to these vapers. One look inside their Louis Vuitton bag and you’ll probably see a range of colourful bling batteries with matching coloured clearomisers, or maybe even a coloured cigalike. Their ecigarette to them is as much as an accessory as their jewellery. If you’re heading out for a night on the town, employ these vapers as your personal stylist!

6. The Preacher

The Preachers are advocates of ecigarettes and will approach any cigarette smoker they see to try and convert them to vaping. A preacher may have even persuaded you to start vaping! They will talk of their success of moving away from tobacco using their ecig and are also proud of the fact they’ve helped people to switch. You should be proud, Preachers!

7. The Mixologist

mixologist vapers

The mixologist has probably tried just about every eliquid flavour under the sun and have become tired of the pre-made solutions.
They may either make their own eliquid themselves or mix their own delicious concoctions from pre-made flavours. We love mixologists because they invent amazing mouth-watering flavour combinations and pass on their discovery to the vaping community.

8. The Sponger

This is that one friend who refuses to buy an ecigarette of their own, yet can’t keep their hands off yours when you’re with them. The sponger will insist that ecigs aren’t for them while they are puffing away on your device. The best thing you can do for this person is to buy them a starter kit that comes with their own juices, then maybe next time they’ll keep their paws to themselves.

9. Cloud Chasers

Cloud chaser vapers

If you walk into a room where a cloud chaser’s at, you may be mistaken for walking into a dense fog. These people love to blow clouds of vapour, the bigger and the denser the better! There’s even cloud chasing competitions for these people, where the objective is, you guessed it – who can blow the biggest clouds.
Cloud chasers are often found using powerful mods with VG heavy juice and the only way for them is the sub ohm way.

10. The Activist

We salute these vapers for sticking up for the vape community when bad or scaremongering press is released. They care about vaping deeply – not just for themselves but for the greater good. You can often find them setting up petitions, twitter bombs and attending protests. Vaping would look different, or even not exist at all, if it wasn’t for these vapers.

Vaping On BBCs "Trust Me, I'm A Doctor"

Welcome To The Vape Club – Gourmet E Liquids

vaping kit and e juice
We’ve written about a number of smoking utensils including the Argile and a number of electronic cigarette brands. Of course smoking should be avoided but if you are someone who has no plans on quitting then perhaps making the switch to an electronic cigarette might be an idea to give your body a bit of a break. The E-Cigarette industry is one of the fastest growing and I’m sure governments around the world are working hard on coming up with taxes to get a piece of the pie.
With so many online shops and brands, choosing the right stuff can be tough but Vape Club of the UK makes the task pretty simple. Vape Club an online shop specializing in e-liquids from around the world as well as vape kits, batteries, and even disposable e-cigarettes. The industry started off as disposable e-cigarettes but it didn’t take long before it headed in a different direction of e liquids.
vape club UK
E-liquids or “Juice” can be purchased in large quantities and vaped according to you preferences. The beauty of e liquids is that you can mix and match different flavors to come up with your own cocktail. I won’t list off all of the flavors but to give you an idea, Vape Club’s “bakery” section has flavors such as Banana Nut Bread, Cheesecake, Peanut Butter, and Cookies & Cream to name several.
Other categories include Dessert flavors, Floral, Fruits, Drinks, Minty flavors, slew of tobacco flavors and even bacon! These e-liquids come from the USA, UK, and other parts of Europe. The Vape Club store features over 20 brands and each brand has too many flavors to mention here.
My personal favorite is the Strawberry/Banana combo and I always purchase the 0mg when it comes to nicotine levels. The best thing about e liquids is that you can start off with a higher dosage of nicotine (18mg) and then slowly decrease your nicotine intake by purchasing less potent stuff. Most of the flavors are available in 0mg (nicotine free) all the way up to 24mg (extra strong). So you get your nicotine fix but you don’t have to worry about all of the harsh chemicals associated with cigarettes and cigars. In my opinion, vaping is probably the best solution for smokers until they are ready to take the next step and quit 100%. Until then, head over to Vape Club for all of their products.

Ohio Senate Legislation

A bill introduced in the Ohio Senate would make child-resistant packaging required on e-liquid according to a report in theCleveland Plain Dealer.
New bipartisan legislation in the Ohio Senate would require e-cigarette liquid to be sold in child-resistant packaging.
Violators could be fined up to $1,000 per offense under Senate Bill 379, introduced Wednesday by Sen. Shannon Jones, a Springboro Republican. The money collected from offenders would go to the local county treasury.

San Marcos Bans E-cig Use

San Marcos Bans E-cig Use
The San Marcos City Council voted Tuesday night to ban the use of e-cigarettes in public places, the same a tobacco cigarettes according to a story in U-T San Diego.
Add San Marcos to the list of local cities that have banned the use of electronic cigarettes wherever traditional smoking is not allowed.
The City Council on Tuesday night unanimously voted to amend two city ordinances to include e-cigarettes. The changes mean store owners must also keep the devices out of the reach of customers the same as conventional cigarettes.
About 10 people, most from local groups targeting tobacco and other substances, spoke in favor of the changes,
“We need to protect kids from these products,” Debra Kelley, of the American Lung Association of California, said after the meeting.

Banning E-cigs – To Much Caution?

Banning E-cigs – To Much Caution?
New York and many cities are banning the public use of e-cigs. London has banned them on all of its transportation facilities. Is it justified or too cautious?  The Epoch Times takes a look at the bans.
London and New York City are two of the largest metropolises to crack down on the vaping in public places. London banned E-cigarettes on most forms of public transportation. This includes trains, buses, and subways where you can no longer smoke or a fine is imposed on the offender. The ban states that this is happening to protect the safety of the other passengers onboard.
The New York City council at the end of 2013 voted to ban the use of E-cigarettes in all the places that smoking tobacco is restricted. This is everywhere except private residences and some outdoor venues, parks are not included in this ban though.  Some members of the council think that the E-cigarettes looking like real cigarettes will confuse children and undermine the antismoking campaigns. They also base their argument that smoking is bad for the health but took no real steps to look at the facts.

Taxing E-cigarettes: For Sin or Consistency?

Taxing E-cigarettes: For Sin or Consistency?
Two editorial writers from The Republic discuss the proposed tax on e-cigarettes in Arizona.
Arizona lawmakers preparing to deal with an enormous budget deficit are considering revenue-enhancing options. One possibility is taxing electronic cigarettes at a rate comparable to taxes levied against tobacco cigarettes.
So, should e-cigarettes be taxed akin to tobacco cigarettes? These new “smoking” products won’t produce nearly as much revenue as regular cigarettes, which reap about $2 a pack for the state. But there may be societal reasons for taxing them, too.
Editorial writers Doug MacEachern and Linda Valdez discuss the pros and cons of adding taxes to the sale of e-cigarettes.

Greeley Taking Time On E-cig Ordinance

Greeley Taking Time On E-cig Ordinance
The Greeley City Council was going to treat e-cigarettes just like tobacco cigarettes, but a couple of council members suggested  holding off on a vote and get more information according to an article in The Tribune.
“We came up with the definition of an e-cigarette and treated it in the same manner as other cigarettes,” Assistant City Manager Becky Safarik said about a proposed update to the city’s code. “It is clearly a smoking activity that’s taking place. So we tried to include all the things that is part of that ordinance.”
However, Greeley City Council members decided to hold off on making a decision. One business that sells vapor products has already opened in the city and a second is on the way. Several councilors, including John Gates, said they don’t like the notion of turning away businesses.
“I don’t think it is council’s job to prohibit someone from opening a vapor lounge,” Gates said, pointing out that he agrees e-cigarettes should be banned from public places such as restaurants and bars. “If I don’t want to be exposed, I won’t go. It’s the same as a cigar bar.”

Frequent Use of E-cigs Help Smokers Quit

Frequent Use of E-cigs Help Smokers Quit
According to a report from UMass Boston, the more frequently a smoker uses an e-cigarette the more likely  they are to stop smoking.
Researchers at the University of Massachusetts Boston have found that regular use of e-cigarettes may benefit smokers who are trying to kick the habit. The new study from the Center for Survey Research shows that smokers who used e-cigarettes daily for at least one month were six times as likely to quit smoking altogether, compared to those who rarely or never tried one.
“This study provides strong support for the potential harm-reducing value of electronic cigarettes, which allow smokers to get the nicotine they want without exposing themselves to the 4,000 toxic chemicals in tobacco cigarettes,” said Lois Biener, the study’s lead author.
“Policy makers need to think carefully before enacting any laws that make adult smokers less likely to try these products,” such as taxing e-cigarettes as heavily as tobacco or eliminating flavors, Biener said.
